Poplar pastimes Most time people will do some Hobbes People will go out to watch a movie in a theaters with their families, friends Radios would play music and baseball games and others programs Plays are popular as well as for theaters Reading a newspaper Family’s would get in there cars and pleasure of traveling together, would not have a fixed places in mined and this is called “Sunday drives”(but most people would not have them) Drinking was the most popular thing to do Sports was the most popular pastime like: hockey, baseball, soccer, field hockey, rugby church Poplar pastimes Popular pastimes are all different to people and family's because they all like different thing.

During the height of the Great Depression, jazz was considered a little avant garde, a little dangerous and was flourishing in Montreal. Black Americans developed jazz at the turn of the century. The improvised music combined elements of ragtime, blues, spirituals, and band music. By the 1920s, jazz had migrated across the border to Canada. Music Canada in the 1920s was also know as “the Jazz age”.

Those of us weaned on ''technicolour" and bombarded by "surround sound" may conclude that silent black and white films could never excite the audience. Not so. In 1923 release starring Lillian Gish, the Herald enthused. Movies in that time where very entertaining to the viewers. As silent movies became more popular, people began coming to view them more and more so as movies spread through Canada.
