Prioritizing time and time management Effective methods to prioritize time management techniques

Lesson 1: Prioritize for Results Do Now: What are 3 things that you need to get done today? What are 3 things that you need to get done within the next week? Next, rank the lists from most important to least important using numbers (1 for most important and 3 for least). Finally, explain why you chose item number 1 as most important and why the last item is least important to you.

Think- pair- share Compare your list with a partner. Are there any similarities between your lists? Differences? Questions to discuss: Are all tasks that need to get done by the end of the week equally important? Why might you consider something to be of great importance but a classmate might not? What does it mean to prioritize?

Lesson 1 Vocabulary Prioritize - to organize (things) so that the most important thing is done or dealt with first Productivity- getting things done, doing a lot How do you separate important activities from unimportant ones?
