Pre-Ap Physical Science Pre-AP Physical Science is an accelerated introduction to Chemistry and Physics.  This course should better prepare students for Pre-AP or AP Physics and Chemistry. The chemistry portion will begin with atomic structure and will end with the student writing and predicting balanced equations. The physics portion will begin in January and cover motion, force, work, power, heat, waves, sound, and light. 

Assessments & Grading Objective TEST: 60 % Teachers Choice: 30 % There will be 5 tests Grades per 9 weeks and 1 cumulative Nine weeks Exam. Tests dates will be posted on the calendar  You will have one major project that will be due towards the end of each Nine weeks. WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY Teachers Choice: 30 % Data Set 5 points= correct answer 3 points= distractor 1 point= incorrect answer Classwork Labs Nine Weeks Exam: 10% of entire grade Cumulative Exam Review in Class Study Guide is given HOMEWORK: 10% Is due the NEXT day Practice concepts learned in class. Checked/ Reviewed in class

While you were out ! Makeup work will be provided for all excused absences. It is the student’s responsibility to pick up makeup-work and get notes of what was discussed that day in class within 3 days of return. Students should check the “While You Were Out” binder located in the classroom for classwork missed, homework assigned or hand-outs distributed. Students are expected to make arrangements for tests within 3 days of returning. Please be aware that if a student is absent on the day before a test is given or the day of, they will be responsible for taking it upon return
