Vietnam Photo Essay Pictures are very powerful because each one is said to be “worth a thousand words.” They can easily influence a population in a matter of seconds. With the advent of global communications and immediate television news coverage the developments of Vietnam were burned into the minds of Americans like no war had done in prior history. Experience the power of images in this group photo essay to see firsthand what the Vietnam War had in store for the brave men and women that shed their blood, sweat, and tears for their country.

Directions One person in your group must download & save this powerpoint from my Weebly page. Log in to Google Drive Your school Gmail is username@rcs-k12.us Upload this powerpoint Click on it once it uploads and click “Edit” in Google Slides. Once you have completed your slides, delete my directions from this Google slides doc

Use the Map on slide #10 Move the arrows as needed to where the picture was taken. The arrows are linked to slides #16-21 If no location is given, use your best guess (North or South Vietnam)

-On the map click “Insert” -Go down to shapes -Insert 6 Arrows, one for each picture (you will need to move them around to indicate general location of the picture) -Right click on the “Arrow” buttons -Click “Slides in this presentation” & pick the correct slide # -Click “Apply” -Do this for every “Arrow” button -I should see 6 different “Arrow” buttons on the map slide, taking me to the appropriate picture!

For each slide there needs to be a brief caption that describes the picture and its connection to the main term *Note* Any copying of pre-existing captions written by others will result in an automatic ZERO!!!!!!! There are no grammar/spelling errors. Complete sentences are being used Click on the House, click the “link” icon Click “Slides in this presentation” & pick the correct slide # of your map
