AP Language and Composition Exam Multiple Choice Essay- Rhetorical Analysis Argument Synthesis Students read a passage and answer questions that focus on rhetorical strategies, devices, and style. Students read a passage and write an essay that explores the devices and strategies an author has used focusing on the effect of these devices and how they further the purpose. MODES: Students are given a prompt and compose an essay that expresses their position and provides evidence. Students are encouraged to include the counterargument and rebuttal. Students are given several sources that they must examine and incorporate into an essay that takes a position.
