The Power of God reinhald pieterse

Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 5 And Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed Christ to them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed to those things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the many miracles which he did. 7 For out of those having unclean spirits, many came out, crying with loud voice. And many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed. 3

8 And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 8 And there was great joy in that city. 9 But a certain man called Simon had long been conjuring in the city, and amazing the nation of Samaria, claiming himself to be some great one. 10 All gave heed to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, This one is the great power of God. 4

Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 11 And they were paying attention to him, because for a long time he had amazed them with conjuring. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the gospel, the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 5

Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 13 Then Simon himself believed also, and being baptized, he continued with Philip. And seeing miracles and mighty works happening, he was amazed. 14 And the apostles in Jerusalem hearing that Samaria had received the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them; 6

Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 15 who when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had not fallen on any of them, they were baptized only in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. 7

Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 18 And when Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money, 19 saying, Give me this power also, that on whomever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit. 20 But Peter said to him, May your silver perish with you, because you have thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 8

Acts 8:5-21 MKJV 21 You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.17  Therefore, if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 9

3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear, and in much trembling. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 MKJV 1 And I, brothers, when I came to you, did not come with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear, and in much trembling. 10

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 MKJV 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 11

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 MKJV 18 For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the perceiving ones." 20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the lawyer of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 12

22 For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 MKJV 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom did not know God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe. 22 For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness. 13

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 MKJV 24 But to them, the called-out ones, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolish thing of God is wiser than men, and the weak thing of God is stronger than men. 14

John 5:19-24 MKJV 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of Himself but what He sees the Father do. For whatever things He does, these also the Son does likewise. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all the things that He Himself does. And He will show Him greater works than these, so that you may marvel. 16

John 5:19-24 MKJV 21 For as the Father raises the dead and makes alive, even so the Son of Man makes alive whomever He wills. 22 For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 17

John 5:19-24 MKJV 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears My Word and believes on Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life. 18

Mark 10:46-52 MKJV 46 And they came to Jericho. And as He with His disciples and a large crowd went out of Jericho, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, was sitting by the side of the highway, begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me! 19

50 And casting away his garment, he rose up and came to Jesus. Mark 10:46-52 MKJV 48 And many warned him that he should be quiet, but he cried a great deal more, Son of David, have mercy on me! 49 And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying to him, Be of good comfort; rise up, He is calling you. 50 And casting away his garment, he rose up and came to Jesus. 20

Mark 10:46-52 MKJV 51 And answering Jesus said to him, What do you desire that I should do to you? The blind man said to Him, My Lord, that I may see again. 52 And Jesus said to him, Go, your faith has healed you. And instantly he saw again, and he followed Jesus in the way.12  Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 21

2 Corinthians 5:17 17  Therefore, if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 22
