Principle #20 Start Now….Just Do it

What does this mean? “If you want to accomplish anything in life, you can’t just sit back and hope it will happen. You’ve got to make it happen.” -Chuck Norris Actor

Quick Write (5 Minutes) Write about a time when you carefully planned something out but never took action. What stopped you from executing your plan? How did you feel when you didn’t follow through with the plan?

Who got the prize? The one who took action. “Who wants a prize?” Who got the prize? The one who took action.

The Lesson of the Prize How you do anything is how you do everything If you are cautious about getting out of your seat for a prize, you are probably holding back in other areas of your life as well

Frog Riddle Three frogs are floating down the river on a log. One of them decides to jump into the river. How many frogs are left on the log? Answer: Three. Why? Because deciding to jump and jumping are two different things. Successful people don’t just decide to do something; they do it!

Nike Got it Right “Just do it!”

“You can’t build a reputation on what you’re going to do.” Talk is Cheap winners take action losers talk about it “You can’t build a reputation on what you’re going to do.” - Henry Ford Founder of Ford Motor Company

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Ready…Fire…Aim! Many people spend their whole lives aiming at the target and never firing To hit a target you must take action. Get ready, fire, then adjust your aim and fire again. Keep taking action until you hit the target. “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
