GLOBAL CONNECTIONS RESEARCH PROJECT

RESEARCH TASK Identify and list at least three aid projects overseas. Choose at least two of these to compare the following findings. Name the location. Identify and describe the type of project the organization is supporting e.g. education, health, agriculture, child labour, environment etc. Who is helped by the project? What is the expected outcome of the project? What is the cost of the project(s)? Are there signs of it being effective?

TASK 3 St Augustine’s Primary School has raised $20,000 from the 2014 walkathon. Mr. Hutchison has asked primary to select WHERE and HOW we should donate the money to overseas aid projects other than the SEA program. You must identify and select the projects and explain WHY you have chosen them.

You may create your project in any way you like – PowerPoint, poster, video, or anything you can think of. You may work in pairs or by yourself. You will have approximately three lessons to complete your project. Remember you will be marked. BE CREATIVE!

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
