The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime By: Mark Haddon Published: May 2004 Brandon, Luke, Nick, Sydney (1st Block)

The main character's name is Christopher John Boone Christopher is autistic He is high functioning He loves animals

Setting This novel takes place in the year of 1998. The location of the main characters house is located in Swindon, England.

Main Plot Highlights The neighbor’s dog is killed Dad has an affair with neighbor Christopher thinks his mom is dead Christopher finds letters from his mom that his dad hid Christopher reunites with his mom

What’s the Moral? One moral that can be captured from this book is that there isn’t only one way to view and interpret the world. People think there is a “norm” to living life, but there is no set way to live.

Our Favorite Part When Christopher finds the letters from his alive mom that his dad hid from him. It reveals that his mom didn’t have a heart attack, she had an affair and moved away. This was a big climax in the book just for him to find out that he was lied to and was really let down when he found out.
