Rescue the Reef – Recycle!

How it Works Look for email in early 2010. Sign-up! Put recycling bins for water bottles & cans in the library Turn them in for cash Donate to Nature Conservancy under CLA account At the end of the summer, CLA will: Finalize donation Post total donated & copy of certificate on the CLA website

Programming Tie-ins Story time - ask families to bring recycled items each week. Use ST themes that tie in (i.e. coral reef animals, turtles, beaches) Craft programs – have children/teens decorate the bins at your regular craft programs Teen Advisory Groups – collect and turn in recycling

Programming Tie-ins Adult Programs – host speakers on recycling, coral reefs or the environment. Participants bring recycling to program Adult Book Clubs – read a book on a related theme. Participants bring recycling to meeting Friends of the Library – place a bin in their store or at sales
