WORLD WAR II PROPAGANDA During World War II, propaganda was used to encourage all Americans to do their part and support our troops in the war. Posters, commercials, radio broadcasts, even school programs were designed to encourage every citizen to plant victory gardens, buy bonds, or ration their personal supplies. Whatever they could do to help – it was needed!
