Depicting Ionic Bonding TRANSFER OF ELECTRONS

Ionic Bonds Ionic bonds form between a metal and a nonmetal. Ionic bonds result from the electrical attraction between cations and anions. Involve the transfer of electrons. Ionic bonds form between a metal and a nonmetal. The metal always transfers electrons to the nonmetal. The metal becomes a cation and the nonmetal becomes an anion.
