GREENHOUSE EFFECT 1

WHAT IS GREENHOUSE EFFECT? The greenhouse effect is when the temperature rises because the sun’s heat and light is trapped in the earth’s atmosphere. 2

WHAT ARE GREENHOUSE GASES? CH4 NO2 CFC Greenhouse gases are gases in the Earth’s atmosphere that collect heat and light from the sun. 3

Solar radiation passes through the clear atmosphere. Most radiation is absorbed by the Earth’s surface and warms it. 4

What is global warming doing to the environment? If there gets to be too many gases, the earth can get unusually warmer and many plants, animals and people will die. 5

Without greenhouse effect the earth would be freezing or ,on the other hand ,it would be burning hot. 6

Global warning make the sea level become higher. Water covers many low land islands. Animals lose a source of food in their habitat. They die. 7

Global warning destroy forests, kill animals . In the forests some plant and tree leaves can be so dry that they catch on fire. 8

Electrical pollution What Causes of Global Warming? Electrical nets Using a washing machine Heating a meal in the microwave Using a hair dryer Using an air conditioner 9

Watching TV Playing computer games Using sprays Listening to CDs 10

Water and Oil 10

What Must We Do to Stop Global Warming? 1.Recycle 2.Plant trees 3.Turn off television, computers and lights when we leave home 4.Walk instead of driving a car 11
