Rare Earth Metals are found in almost all of todays technologies including cell phones and T.V.s Does the study of geology impact international relations? If so how? Yes. China has taken a monopoly on the Rare Earth Metal market, they can drive down prices because they do not have regulations that protect the environment. By studying geology, scientists can find new mines containing Rare Earth Metals, and newer cleaner ways of extracting them from the earth.
