Homework Weekly Objectives Spelling Words Week 6 Sept 3, 2018 Issue # 1 Mrs. Castellano's Class Homework Weekly Objectives As part of your 20 minutes reading time, please use istation; storyline online; bookflix: bkflix.Grolier.com-UN: jdrugan. PW: bookflix Monday– Read your fluency folder pages: 11, 12, 13 (time for one minute); Write spelling words three times each. Math: p. Week 2- One sheet per week broken down until completed. Bring homework to school everyday. Tuesday– Read your fluency folder Pages: 11, 12, 13 (time for one minute). Math: p. Week 2. Write spelling words in ABC order. Wednesday- Read your fluency folder Pages: 11, 12, 13 (time for one minute); Math: p. Week 2. Write a sentence for all spelling words. Thursday- Read your fluency folder Pages: 11, 12, 13 (time for one minute); Math: p. Week2. Ask parents to give you a practice spelling test. Practice the ones you missed. Write a sentence for all your vocabulary word Friday-Tests on story of the week, spelling words, vocabulary words . I will send the tests on Friday. Please sign and return them. If you don’t get them, please write me a note in the agenda. Language Arts – Fiction & Non fiction, characters, setting, plot, Problem and solution, Parts of a book-glossary, table of contents, past tense endings, declarative and interrogative sentences, prepositions, plural nouns, author’s purpose. Math – Money. Coins. Science – Magnets. Social Studies – Robert Fulton Spelling Words Pattern: Long Oo (o_e): home, bone, rose, hose, cone, joke, close, phone, mope, hope Vocabulary Words Story: My Name Is Yoon Patient: To wait your turn. Practiced: To do something again and again to get better. Favorite: To like something the most. Wrinkled: Having many lines or folds on your skin or your clothes. Settled: Got comfortable. Cuddle: To hug. 4 More weeks of school left before fall break. Please no absences. All students with no absences will be honored at the end of the month and year, plus if there are no absences, we will have a pizza party. Everyone must have 100% perfect attendance in order for us to have our party. Fluency Folder has been reprinted. All pages are now available. Conference time: 12:55-1:20 M,T,Th,F. No calls will be transferred or accepted at any other time. Please write a note in the agenda so that I can call you back. During this time I am also at meetings, trainings, and preparing myself for my lessons. Calls will be returned as soon as possible. Thank you. Popcorn Fundraiser: Thank you for supporting our school fundraiser. Please help our class win the pizza party by selling at least 5 bags to family and friends. I have sold 25 bags myself to help my class win!!! My students will get cupcakes and ice cream from me and treasure chest!!!!
