General Admin External Examiners are appointed for four years Please let the Quality Assurance and Validation Unit in the Academic Registry know any change of details, address etc. If for any reason, you wish to withdraw from your appointment early, please inform the Quality Assurance and Validation Unit in writing. Please give us as much notice as possible.
Arrangements for Board of Examiners meetings The School should advise you of the date for the Board of Examiners meeting at the start of the academic year. Accommodation can be arranged for you at the Management Centre – the School will ask you about this in the spring for summer boards. Information about the report forms and claim forms will be sent to you 4-6 weeks before the Board of Examiners meeting from the Quality Assurance and Validation Unit.
External Examiners’ Reports Please complete and return your Report within one month of the Board of Examiners meeting. Payment of fees is dependent upon receiving the Report, and is generated by your claim form.
External Examiners’ Reports Your Report will be available to students, via myBangor. Under the FoIA, your Report may also become a public document. External Examiners have a right to raise any matter of serious concern with the Vice- Chancellor, if necessary by means of a separate confidential written report.
