DRAFT For Submission Strategic Plan: North Springs Charter High School Increase rate of 9th graders on track to graduate, including an algebra credit, to 90% from 70%. Retain quality teachers. Increase number of community partnerships that enhance North Spring’s visibility. Outcomes: What will success look like for our school? Increase percent of graduates demonstrating a Lexile level of 1275 or above to 85% from 73.7%. Increase number who demonstrate proficiency on ELA EOCs to 65% from 58%. Diverse array of families will recommend and choose North Springs and stay for the full four-year experience. Increase the number of parents and students involved in school events. Hi Miriam,   This is a really strong draft!  There is clear alignment to the district's plan while still meeting the needs of your community.  I know that the Council really values clear communication to the NSCHS community.  Below are a few suggestions that will help streamline those core values that are important to your school. For the initiatives, what you have listed is important. But, for each initiative box, what is the one key lever that will support the associated outcome?  That one key lever will be the initiative.  You can still use the other items you have written as critical actions. I really like your diversity outcome under People & Culture.  North Springs is the only plan I've read thus far that highlights this.  It appears that your initiative should be a broader Cultural Diversity initiative.  You can still use what you have written but I recommend moving these items to the critical actions.  What is the broader initiative that will encompass strengthening programs, honoring culture, etc.? The evaluation rubric under Community Collaboration is how you will measure community partnerships.  It is great that the Council is thinking about how to measure elements of the plan.  But, how will you increase the number of community partnerships?  The how is the initiative. Overall, your draft has a solid foundation and the Council is off to a great start.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.  Look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Freshman Academy Build school culture. Encourage groups, clubs and departments to seek new and foster existing community partnerships. Initiatives: What will we do to achieve success? Deliberate PLCs Continue to build, honor and celebrate culture and diversity in our school. Enhance marketing, communication and social media.
