Hebrews 10:23

God Who is Eternal Revelation 11:16-17 NKJV 16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

“God Is Faithful” Never Fickle – “lack of steadfastness, constancy, or stability: given to erratic changeableness.” Webster The gods of paganism fickle & capricious- Greek & Roman gods were greedy, lustful, vengeful, jealous, mischievous, vindictive & impulsive. These characteristics showed themselves randomly.”

“God Is Faithful” True God has faithful, unchanging character – Malachi 3:6 “I do not change” Hebrews 13:8 “same yesterday, today & forever” James 1:17 “no variation or shadow of turning”

“God’s Word Always True” Satan is a liar – John 8:44 God “keeps truth forever” – Psalm 146:6; Isaiah 25:1 Contrary to Nature of God to Speak Anything but TRUTH- Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:17,18

“God’s Word Always True” Truth & Trust Closely Related We can place our Complete Truth in All He Says – 1 Timothy 1:15; Revelation 22:6 What God says through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is both Faithful & True!

God Is Always a Righteous Judge God is Perfectly & Eternally Just & Righteous – Genesis 18:25; Deuteronomy 7:9-11; Romans 2:9-11 God is Predictable – we can Always Know What His Standard of Judgment will be

God Always Keeps His Promises 2 Timothy 2:13 “He cannot deny Himself” Never Once Failed to Keep His Word – 1 Kings 8:5,6; Romans 8:32; 2 Peter 3:5-9; Hebrews 6:17-20 We ought to Judge Him Faithful Who has Promised – Hebrews 11:11

God Always Fulfills His Purposes Psalm 33:10,11 “the counsel of the LORD stands forever” Isaiah 46:8-11 “My counsel shall stand” Proverbs 19:21 “Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel – that will stand” If anyone is Lost, it will be because of Man, not God – Romans 3:3,4 John 16:33 – “I have overcome the world” (Message of Revelation)

God Will Never Forsake Us Hebrews 13:5,6 “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 2:17 “merciful High Priest” 1 Corinthians 1:8,9 “God is faithful” Philippians 1:6 “He Who has begun a good work in you will complete it” 1 Thessalonians 5:23,24 “He Who calls you is faithful, Who also will do it”

Do Not Envision God in Terms of Human Changeableness Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man” 1 Samuel 15:29 “Strength of Israel… is not a man, that He should relent.” God is “the Rock…a God of truth” Deuteronomy 32:4

We need the God Who is Eternally Our God “Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day; earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away. Change and decay in all around I see; O Thou Who changest not, abide with me!” (Henry F. Lyte)

Short of our own change of mind, there is nothing powerful enough to separate us from the love of the eternally faithful God Romans 8:35-39 “death…life… angels…principalities…powers… things present…to come…height… depth, not any other created thing”
