Some Awards available… Advisor of the Year This award is for non-students that advise your organization such as professional staff members that serve as advisors or volunteers/alumni that advise your organization.
Collaborative Program of the Year This award is ideal for an event that was hosted by several student organizations and proves as an example of how groups can work together to create something greater than one group could do on its own.
Educational Program of the Year Some events and activities are considered educational and this award is meant to recognize outstanding efforts in educating others about causes, academics, etc.
A winning application Hosted large-scale networking event with 16 industry leaders Three students offered internships on the spot! Hosted large-scale outreach event for over 3,000 K-8 students in order to generate interest in engineering. The event entailed engineering-themed activities in a carnival-like atmosphere. Developed ongoing relationship with Facebook; they facilitated five workshops which led to four of our members being hired!
Tips and tricks Thorough & concise *Write LONG and provide specific examples (don’t be vague) *don’t add irrelevant info *use descriptive language (describe the activity, don’t just list it) *Provide numbers (we passed out 500 meals)
