Poor Lifestyle Choices High Fat Diet A high fat diet leads to obesity. It can cause high cholesterol levels. Lifestyle Choices There are a number of other requirements for a healthy lifestyle. We require a variety of minerals in our diet to keep us healthy such as iron which is essential for the production of haemoglobin. Calcium is essential for healthy bones and teeth. Lifestyle Choices Lead can cause lead poisoning and so lead free petrol has become the norm rather than leaded petrol which is being phased out. Cadmium is a heavy metal found in pesticides and batteries, and it is poisonous. Carbon monoxide is present in car exhaust fumes and it can cause drowsiness or even death by asphyxiation. Lifestyle Choices All in all, we are subject to choices every day which can have an effect on our lifestyle. It is up to each individual to make the choices which they think are appropriate to themselves. These choices will change as our circumstances change. End of Unit 2 – STRESS TIME!!!!
