What is a piedmont? A piedmont means “foothills.” We live in this region.

What is the piedmont area known for? Red colored clay Mining Granite, marble, and quartz

True or False? The piedmont region is the most populated region in Georgia. TRUE! Do you remember Georgia’s capital? It is also located in the piedmont region. ATLANTA!!

ANIMALS OF THE PIEDMONT Can you think of what type of animals live in the piedmont? What do you think happens to these animals as more forests are cut down for developments? deer River otters racoons squirrels
