Busra, Kayleigh, Jordon and Moussa The Pitch BUSRA Busra, Kayleigh, Jordon and Moussa

Aims and Concept ‘drunk by Ed Sheeran & Rudimental remix’ Why? Different to other ideas in the class. Our main aim surreal images reflecting ‘love drunk’ altered special effects for example the projection MOUSSA: The track we will use to make our music video is called ‘drunk” by Ed Sheeran & Rudimental remix. We have chosen this song because it is a different genre to what everyone else is doing in the class and there is no music video for this song so the idea is all our own. Our main aim is to give the audience surreal images based on ‘love drunk’ to suggest how it feels to be in love. We have many ideas of how to do this by using altered special effects, for example the projection over the two couples to retrieve memories of their night while they are drunk.

Target Audience both genders Age group between 14 – 27 Who ever can follow the drum step genre of the music. 18, females, love movies, music, books… hardworking. Teenagers experimenting and having the urge to try new things. KAYLEIGH: Our music video is aimed at both genders because it doesn’t have a feminine or masculine theme, as being in love can apply to both genders The age group of the music video we will be producing is 14–27 how ever it may stretch further due to young minded male elders following the drum step genre of the music. They may be interested in Love Movies, books, songs etc. Escapes work or study with music and live in western culture. They are students or unemplolyed or work. Teenagers are growing up and they want to try things they don’t do at a young age so they decide to do things like partying and going out things that adults would do. In addition these teenagers will be socially active and have a really broad social networking life.

Style of video Confusing imagery = drunk atmosphere Through: canted angles, flashes and color effects for mood and use of projections Contains a contemporary dance of two love despair characters which is a motif for their love Also contains flashbacks and imagery of life going on but without the character realising life is going on because he is drunk The dance is representative of love BUSRA: We decided to give a weird effect on the audience witch uses confusing imagery to give a sense of drunk atmosphere, this will also give a good idea of what the lyrics are saying and the meaning. We will be doing this through many ways, for example dizziness will be shown through canted angles to show that things are going normal. Flashes and colour effects will also be used to emphasis this point. The colour effect will be used to highlight the flashbacks that the characters remember. The contemporary dance will represent the complication of the two characters love life.

Content and synopsis Plot – visually, With a contemporary dance of two love despair characters with projections dancing slowly with a constant urge to kiss or gain interaction but will be split, almost like a split screen. When ever a love lyric is played, they will attempt these moves through a contemporary way. MOUSSA:The video’s plot is going to visually demonstrate and link with the lyrics of the original / remix of Ed Sheeran ‘Drunk’, With a contemporary dance of two love despair characters with projections of the previous night and life together being cast over them, with added visual effects and images to enhance the level of a calm and lonely contemporary genre change into an intense ‘Drum step mixed visual video. It will also Connect to the thrill seeking hallucinogenic festival goers with the call and educational hard young audience. The characters with their lives being flashed on them and behind them will be dancing slowly with a constant urge to kiss or gain interaction but will be split, almost like a split screen. When ever a lyric about love is played, they will reflect these emotions through contemporary dance

Possible locations Latimer road station (station tunnel) South bank Embankment School premises (studio) KAYLEIGH: Latimer road station (station tunnel) – because of the lighting and the fact it reflects a journey South bank – due to iconic scenery of london life – the audience always are attracted to iconic locations Embankment – romanctic, it reflects their love School premises (studio) – to use the green screen and do the projection special effects

Proposed Channel Coverage MTV, same target audience as our music video 05:00pm – 12:00am hours our target audience are available or will be watching tv. BUSRA: According to our audience research we have found out that our audience mainly watches their music videos on MTV. I would make sure that there was large coverage on MTV’s facebook page in the hope that it might go viral. I’d do hits on university web pages again to hit our basic target audience and hope for spread by word of mouth by computer. The video on TV would be shown between 05:00pm – 12:00am because this is when our target audience is free to watch.

What makes our music video original? Special effects Use of different angles A variety of scenes Not always lip syncing MOUSSA:

THANK YOU! KAYLEIGH: Thank you for watching our pitch I hope you agree with our idea.
