Rules, Discipline, and Rewards School-Wide Rules Be Respectful Be Responsible Be Ready to Learn with effort, practice, and participation School-Wide Positive Behavior System (PBS) Leprechaun Leaders Students can earn tickets for good behavior. These tickets are entered into a weekly drawing. Winners are announced on the morning news and are sent to the front office to receive a prize.

Rules, Discipline, and Rewards 5th Grade Money System Students receive a weekly salary of $200. Salary is increased to $300 in January. When a consequence is needed, students will receive a “check” in their purple folder and will be fined $20 ($50 the second semester). Extra rewards are also given in the same amounts. Money can be spent on buying/selling days and at the end of the year auction.

Parent-Teacher-Student Communication Email This is the easiest and fastest way to communicate with us. Parents can expect a reply to their email within 24 hours, but usually sooner. Changes in how your child is going home MUST be communicated to your child’s teacher and to Debbie Hunt or Ann Rice. Email is a great way to do this. Student Planners Each teacher posts upcoming assignments, quizzes and tests in the classroom. Students are given time and are expected to fill out their planners and keep them up to date. Planner checks are done at random. If a student does not have their planner filled out, a consequence may be given.

Parent-Teacher-Student Communication Purple Folders The main purpose of the purple folder is to track and communicate student behavior and work study skills. Your child is expected to have this folder with them in each class and to share its content with you daily. All news, notes, and graded papers will come home in this folder. The papers within the prongs of the folder are NOT to be removed. The folder is to be signed each weekend and should be emptied of graded papers, news, notes, and forms. Forms and money to be turned in to the teacher should be sent in this folder.

Classlink and Focus Classlink Focus A single sign-on application that gives students access to all of the websites and programs they need. It can be accessed from the KLES website. Username: 171xxxxxx@edu.leonschools.net (student id #) Password: their 5 digit lunch pin Focus A new Leon County Schools student information system. Through Focus, parents can track attendance and grades, update phone numbers and emails, and link multiple students to one account. Information for setting up the account was sent home last week.
