August 28, 2017 - English 10 Agenda Goal/ Homework Warm-Up: Journal #2 Pick five of the characters from the book The Sun Is Also a Star. Choose a word to describe each of the characters that you chose and explain how that word describes them. -Turn in theme work from last class -Warm-Up -Quote Game -Character Analysis Activity -Character Analysis Discussion Goal: SWBAT analyze characters and their roles within The Sun Is Also a Star. HW: Bring book next class/ Finish Analysis (if needed)

Quotes Game: Name the person who said this quote or who is this quote is about. Then, state why this quote is relevant to the text. “I know the precise moment that Charlie stopped liking me” (12). “He was excellent. He was transcendent. He belonged on that stage more than he’s ever belonged with us” (217). “He will hold her and wonder, very briefly, about the future that loving her will cost him” (117). “And They Lived Happily Ever After” (299). “She tells the woman about that day in New York- the gray bin, the Nirvana phone case, how she’d seen her every day” (343).
