Lesson 4: The User Batch Report

The User Batch Report In this lesson you will learn to: ─ Access the User Batch Report ─ Identify what information is available within the User Batch Report

The User Batch Report The User Batch report is accessed from the Epic Main Button/Reports/Professional Billing Reports/User Batch Report. This report details each transaction entered by a staff member into a particular user batch.

The User Batch Report Report Setup: The User Batch Report Settings window allows you to specify which batches you want to include in a report. You can specify the criteria for this report using the Criteria window displayed below.

The User Batch Report You can also Name and Save the reporting settings you have specified. To save, Click on the General Tab and click on the “Private” radio button. Click the “Save As” button and name the report. Click on the “My default report” checkbox so that the next time you access this report the setup window will be completed with the default information you saved. Click save and run to view the report.

The User Batch Report Report Detail Report Restrictions – information entered on the Batch Request window. Batch Information – includes information about the user whose work is reflected on this report, with totals for all charges, payments, and adjustments posted by this user. Use the Scrollbar to view the rest of the report.

The User Batch Report Batch Transaction Detail – displays a detail line for each transaction posted by the user to this batch. Detail includes: Account, Procedure, Provider, Patient #, Type (charge, payment or adjustment), D/C (debit or credit), Pmt Source and transaction Amount.

The User Batch Report Batch Transaction Totals - begins with a total amount of all transactions in the batch. Details include: Total items, Proc # Sum (sum of all proc. Numbers), CPT Sum (hash total of CPT code numbers), Prov # Sum (sum of provider ID numbers), and a list of the total number of charge, payments and adjustments in the batch. Breakdown of Payments – the amount and number of transactions per method of payment.

The User Batch Report Transactions Posted and Voided – the report includes by default, any transactions that were posted and voided by the user in this batch.

The User Batch Report Batch Information Details – the amount of charges, payments, debit adjustments and credit adjustments posted in the user batch. Batch Information Totals –the total amount of each transaction type posted by Location, Service Area, and a Grand Total (total amount of each transaction type, and the total of all transactions). Breakdown of Payments Details – the amount of cash, check , credit card and EOB payments posted in the user batch.

The User Batch Report Break Down of Payment Totals - the total amount of each payment type, and the total of all payments posted by Location, Service Area and Grand Total (total amount of each payment type, and the total of all payments).

The User Batch Report Miscellaneous Information Details – the sum of all procedure numbers, CPT code numbers, and provider ID numbers in the batch. A separate total is included for any charges overridden by the user and any undistributed amount the user applied. Miscellaneous Information Totals – reports totals per Location and Service Area. The Grand Total reports totals for each category in the user batch.
