Hazrat Qais bin Abi Sa’sa Men of Excellence Hazrat Qais bin Abi Sa’sa On one occasion, he said to the Holy Prophet (sa): ‘O Prophet of Allah (sa)! In how many days should I complete the recitation of the entire Qur’an?’ The Holy Prophet (sa) replied, ‘In fifteen nights.’ Hazrat Qais said ‘I find myself capable of doing more than this.’ Upon this, the Holy Prophet (sa) said ‘You may complete it within the period of two Fridays.’ To this, he said ‘I find myself capable of doing even more than this.’ Following this, he recited the Holy Qur’an in this very manner for a long time. This continued to the extent that when he grew old and had to cover his eyes with a piece of cloth, he began to complete the recitation of the entire Qur’an in fifteen days. Hazrat ‘Ubaida bin Harith Men of Excellence Hazrat ‘Ubaida bin Harith During the Battle of Badr, he fought on behalf of the Muslims in the combat duel against Waleed bin Utbah. Further details of this combat duel have thus been provided in Sunan Abu Dawud: Hazrat Ali (ra) relates: “Utbah bin Rabee’ah, followed by his son and brother came forward and announced, ‘Who is it that will come to face us?’ Thereupon, many of the youth from among the Ansar answered him.. Utbah asked ‘Who are you?’ They replied, ‘We are the Ansar’. TheUtbah then said, ‘We have no dispute with you, we only wish to fight our cousins’. . Holy Prophet (sa) then said, ‘O Hamza rise, o Ali rise and o Ubaidah bin Harith rise and go forth.’” November 30th 2018

Hazrat ‘Ubaida bin Harith Men of Excellence Hazrat ‘Ubaida bin Harith Hazrat Ali (ra) narrates: “As soon as we heard the call of the Holy Prophet (sa) Hazrat Hamza advanced to Utbah, I advanced to Shaybah and there was a skirmish between Ubaidah bin Harith and Waleed. During the duel Utbah had struck the calf of Hazrat Ubaidah bin Harith and left it completely severed. The Holy Prophet (sa) ordered for him to be removed from the battlefield. . Suyuti Aziz Ahmad Sahib Men of Excellence Suyuti Aziz Ahmad Sahib Regarding the spread of Ahmadiyyat in his family, in an interview with MTA, he said, “ My grandfather instructed us that in the latter days the Imam Mahdi will appear so you must all accept him. To honour this instruction of his my family migrated twice. He says, “On 13th February 1963, at the age of 19, I and 40 members of my family took the oath of allegiance through Maulana Zaini Dehlan Sahib.” He says that names of three young men were recommended for admission in jamia Ahmadiyya. Suyuti sahib was one of them. He continues: “I arrived in Karachi and from there I travelled to Rawah by train.” He says: “A lot of Jamia students welcomed me upon my arrival. The environment was new so it was quite difficult to get accustomed to at first, however, I managed to adjust accordingly.  Hazrat Tha’labah bin Hatib Ansari was a Companion from Banu Amr bin Auf. He participated in the Battle of Badr and Uhud. He belonged to the Banu Amr bin Auf branch of the Aus tribe, as has been mentioned. There are narrations stating that he participated in the Battle of Badr and some other battles. Huzoor (aba) presented strong historical evidence refuting an inappropriate narration regarding Hazrat Tha’labah bin Hatib. Hazrat Saad bin Usman bin Khaldah Ansari took part in the Battle of Badr. He was among those companions who left their post during the Battle of Uhud, however God Almighty forgave them all in the Holy Quran. On one occasion the Holy Prophet (sa) went to Bir-e-Ehaa at Harrah, which in those days was under the occupation of Hazrat Saad, and Hazrat Saad left his son Abadah, to supply water to the people. Hazrat Abadah was not able to recognise who the Holy Prophet (sa) was. When Hazrat Saad returned and Hazrat Abadah narrated the description of the person who came, Hazrat Saad said that this was the Holy Prophet (sa) whom you did not recognise. He then urged his son to rush and meet him immediately. When he went after him, the Holy Prophet (sa) put his hand on Hazrat Abadahs head and prayed for him. Hazrat Saad bin Usman was 80 years old when he passed away. Hazrat Amir bin Umaiyyah took part in the Battle of Badr and was martyred in the Battle of Uhad. He belonged to the tribe of Banu Adi bin Najjar. Hazrat Hasham bin Amir relates that the Holy Prophet (sa) was asked about the burial arrangements of those martyred in the Battle of Uhad, the Holy Prophet (sa) instructed to dig a large grave and place two to three bodies in each. The Holy Prophet (sa) also instructed that the person who had memorised the Holy Quran the most should be buried first. Hazrat Amr bin Abi Surha, He belonged to the tribe of Banu Harith bin Fehr and his title was Abu Saeed. He passed away in 30 Hijri in Medina during the era of Hazrat Usman (ra). They also took part in all the battles alongside the Holy Prophet (sa), including the Battle of Uhad and the Ditch. Hazrat Asma bin Hussain, who belonged to the tribe of Banu Auf bin Khazraj. took part in the Battle of Badr. He embraced Islam prior to the Battle of Badr and the first thing he after that was take part in the Battle of Badr and was thus honoured to be counted among the Companions who took part in the Battle of Badr. He also took part in the Battle of Uhad. There is also no mention about the year of his demise in any account of history. Hazrat Muaz bin Muiz was martyred during the incident of Bir-e-Mauna. He belonged to the tribe of Zarqi which was part of the Khazraj tribe. According to some narrations, he took part in the Battle of Badr and Uhad and was martyred during the incident of Bir-e-Mauna. He further says: “During my stay in Rabwah. I would always seek an opportunity to meet with companions of the Promised Messiah (as) and would press their feet while conversing with them.” November 30th 2018

Suyuti Aziz Ahmad Sahib Men of Excellence November 23rd 2018 Suyuti Aziz Ahmad Sahib While sharing a pleasant experience of an audience with Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh), he states: “When Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh) was elected as the Caliph of the Community, we met with him and embraced him. Huzoor (rh) patted me lovingly on my face and stated: ‘They have come from Indonesia.’ There were other foreign students there. Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh) continued: ‘All of you have come from afar, you are all my children.’ Huzoor (rh) had instructed: ‘You can come to me when facing any difficulty.’” The spiritual light of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih III (rh) always remained amongst us and for this reason all of our difficulties became easy. Hazrat Sa’d bin Zaid Al-Ashari belonged to the Ansar tribe of Banu Abdil Ashar. He took part in the Battle of Badr and according to some he was also present on the occasion of Bai’at Aqabah. He took part in all the battles alongside the Holy Prophet (sa), including the Battle of Badr, Uhad and the Ditch. The Holy Prophet (sa) sent the prisoners from Banu Quraiza in his supervision and in return of them he purchased horses and weapons from Najad.  According to a narration, Hazrat Sa’d bin Zaid presented a sword from Najran to the Holy Prophet (sa) as a gift and the Holy Prophet (sa) then gave that sword to Hazrat Muhammad bin Musalma and said, “Do Jihad in the way of God Almighty with this. However, when people begin to dispute amongst themselves then throw this on a stone and remain at home.” i.e. not to take part in any kind of discord or disorder. May God Almighty enable the Muslims of today to also adhere to this, who are currently killing one another. And may He establish the peace in the world. May God Almighty continue to elevate the status of the Companions and may He also enable us to perform virtuous deeds, offer sacrifices and lead our lives with sincerity and devotion. Before I left, Huzoor (rh) embraced me lovingly and said in my ear: ‘’Never be unfaithful to your master. This is my advice to you.’”

Suyuti Aziz Ahmad Sahib Men of Excellence December 1st 2018 Suyuti Aziz Ahmad Sahib He writes about an incident: “In 1992, Shareef Ahmad Baugis, Ameer sahib Indonesia, sent me to the Philippines to ensure success in the International Bai’at that was taking place there and said to me: “This is as per instructions of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh). I said to him: “I am very weak and I do not know even the local language” He responded: “I have full faith in you.” I said, ‘’but if these are the instructions then I am ready.” ‘ I left jamaat headquarters but contracted cholera and became very weak. In this condition, I prayed: ‘O Allah! If I die here then there are no Muslims here who would offer my funeral prayers.’” He says: ‘At night I saw in a dream that a nurse wearing a uniform visits me and whilst patting me on my forehead she blows some air on me. I had completely recovered in the morning for Tawi-Tawi. By the Grace of Allah Almighty one hundred and thirty people took the Oath of Allegiance and joined the Jama’at within three months.”
