Voyage His first voyage was in 1492. He was the first European to explore the Americas. His European contact with America lead to European exploration and colonization.
Why did Columbus go on his voyage? Christopher Columbus believed if he sailed west he would reach the Indies. But he founded the Americas instead.
What is the result of his voyage? The results to Columbus's voyages is that he founded the Americas. Then with Columbus finding the Americas that led to Europeans coming to the Americas.

Facts Queen Isabel and King Fernando agreed that if Columbus had success on his voyage he would get the lavish demands that he wanted. Columbus was granted the coat of arms in 1493. By 1502 he had added new elements.
FACTS Columbus promised gold to whoever spotted land first. On October 12,1492 a sailor named Rodrigo de Triana spotted land. Rodrigo de Triana never got the gold. Columbus kept it all for himself. The Santa Maria sank and made Columbus leave 39 men behind.
Facts The king and queen of Spain made Columbus governor because he found them new land. Columbus believed God had singled him out to go on this voyage. Columbus was expected to find something valuable on each of his voyages
