Wise Men’s Search This time of year brings out seekers Seeking wrong things Only one necessary thing for us to seek
Wise men sought Jesus Their search began after the birth of a Jesus Are we wise enough to seek Jesus in due time?
They sought Jesus So much tradition has taken away from the teaching The men are called “magi” The number is not given but tradition tells 3 because of the 3 gifts They came to Jerusalem from the East
They found Jesus in a house and not a stable (2:11) What is not stated but understood is that the men were Gentiles Why did the magi make the long trip to Jerusalem? Their reason was to see and worship Him (2:2)

God continues to be a “rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6)
They found Jesus It’s exciting to find what your looking for Imagine the joy of finding the Child When anyone seeks the Lord in the right way with the right attitude, He will help that person to find Him
No greater joy than finding what was lost
They worshipped Jesus They came to worship Him They “fell down and worshiped Him” (2:11) In their worship, they gave of their treasures
Gold for the King Frankincense for the High Priest Myrrh for the Savior
Wise men show us to give our best
Stop shopping or looking for that gift!
The greatest gift is in the person of Jesus Christ
