Reauthorization Petition Submitted to FUSD Board: April 12, 2018 April 25, 2018 FUSD Board review and site visits May 9, 2018 FUSD Board vote

Vision: We envision integrated, thriving communities where youth and adults work together to create new solutions to shared challenges. Mission: We inspire joy and purpose in learning to develop well-educated, ethical, caring, effective, and innovative members of the community.

Goals Handout Kepler students demonstrate growth in personal character and mastery of academic standards in all content areas. Kepler teachers and staff foster student strengths and differentiate to support academic, creative, social, and emotional needs of every student. Kepler teachers, staff, and leadership effectively invite, retain, and support a diverse student body. Kepler parents, staff, and community are valued, contributing members of Kepler School programs and culture. The Kepler organization is a trusted partner contributing to a thriving community.

State Priorities Focus on three key areas

Key Areas for Student, Staff and Community Input How can we better meet the needs of Kepler students, parents, and staff in hiring of staff provision of instructional materials and equipment Maintaining the facility as an effective learning space How can we better support students in the mastery of grade level standards?

Key Areas for Student, Staff and Community Input How can KNS increase parent involvement in school decision making? their child’s education? their child’s social/emotional health their child’s physical well-being? their child’s creativity and curiosity? Their child’s service learning? How can KNS ensure every student has access to support and acceleration to ensure every student grows academically and reaches their potential?

Key Areas for Student, Staff and Community Input How can KNS provide better opportunities for students to engage in school? How can KNS create a school climate that is welcoming, appreciates diversity, and equips every student with the skills to collaborate, serve others, and to make a difference in the community?

Key Areas for Student, Staff and Community Input How can KNS better provide students with access to a broad course of study? What additional areas of study would you want to see offered for Kepler students? How can KNS increase the number of students who are on time and ready to work when school starts? How can KNS maximize student learning time by reducing the time students are out of class for discipline issues?
