Note: Your portfolio folders (from last year) are now in the cabinets by my desk or by the door– feel free to drop off your signed portfolio assignments before/after class (or any time when it will not be disruptive). Note: When getting portfolio assignments back from teachers, check that they have signed/stamped them. Note: Portfolios are worth 15% of your English grade. Note: if you miss ONE portfolio (from any class, including mine), you will have 10% deducted from your total portfolio grade. If you are missing MORE THAN ONE, your portfolio will not be graded! Even if you are a BRAND NEW STUDENT in a class, you still need to fill out a form which needs to be signed by your teacher stating that you were not required to complete a portfolio for that class (see me if you need one of these forms).

RAMAYANA Using your warm-up and Key Terms, create a story map for Ramayana with three other class members. Your story map must have four parts: Exposition (found in pages 130-131). Rising Action (best artist should do this part– several scenes required) Climax Falling Action/dénouement 9

RAMAYANA In groups of 4, create a timeline of the story and mention important events that occur for each of the four components of the plot. Draw several pictures (each with a short description) to represent what happens in each of the 4 parts of the story. Use markers, crayons, colored pencils, and story- board paper. Glue together the four parts horizontally. Story board due at the end of the class.  10
