SETTING NETWORK BIAS AND TERMINATING RESISTORS Communication & network SETTING NETWORK BIAS AND TERMINATING RESISTORS (VC1000) The terminating resistors (TERM) must only be activated at the two extremities of the network. The polarization resistors (BIAS) must only be activated on the unit controller.

SETTING NETWORK ADDRESSES (VC1000) Communication & network SETTING NETWORK ADDRESSES (VC1000)

SETTING NETWORK ADDRESSES (VC1000) Communication & network SETTING NETWORK ADDRESSES (VC1000) EACH CONTROLLER HAS A UNIQUE COMMUNICATION ADDRESS* SWITCH # BINARY VALUE #1 → 1 #2 → 2 #3 → 4 #4 → 8 #5 → 16 #6 → 32 #7 → 64 Up to 127x addresses are allowed on a network *Only VC1000 / M1000 controllers have addresses set by dipswitches (hardware) EX: Switches #1, #2 & #4 are set to ``ON’’ Address= 1+2+8 = 11
