Miss Andie’s Thank You! Classroom Newsletter Our Week Sneak Peak Starting August 31st, we will continue learning all about the Five Senses, with our main focus being on our sense of hearing. Classroom Centers, Movement, and Read-a- Louds will be all centered around things we can hear! This week we began our unit on the Five Senses! We started off our week watching a video to help us better understand that are eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and hands help us everyday. We then made mini interactive books to illustrate what each sense can do. Wednesday we made sensory bags with hair gel and odds ‘n’ ends around the classroom, we got a little messy but no one seemed to mind too much. We ended our week making a Five Senses craftivity where we identified and labeled each of our five senses. We were still unable to get out to our garden, hopefully the weeds aren't too high again! Thank You! We would like to say how much we appreciate all the parents who were able to donate supplies and snacks for our room!

Happy Birthday! Lorraine: 24 IMPORTANT Are you looking for ways to help at home? Starting August 24th, our classroom is going to begin having Letters of the Month and Sight Words of the Month! We will spend four weeks practicing and learning all about these letters and words before adding on more. Each student will have their own Letter rings and Sight Word rings to practice at home, so make sure to check your child’s backpack for their Homework Bags! This Months Letters: Cc, Mm, Aa, and Tt This Months Sight Words: I, no, yes IMPORTANT Please make sure you are reading your child’s red folder daily and use the pages provided to communicate back if needed. The original black communication notebooks were proving to be less effective in telling you about our day. Happy Birthday! Lorraine: 24
