Reverse Outlining On back of paper Write out: What is your main point? Turn over paper and see what is common Look at your final paragraph? Look at your first paragraph? Go through each paragraph Note the key word, concept or phrase in margin Does each paragraph have claims & evidence? Use notes and revise accordingly
Focusing on Claims & Evidence Focus on one paragraph & draw a box around it Put ‘c’ over each claim Put ‘e’ over evidence Count up number of Cs and Es. Note in margin if more Cs or Es are needed *See index in our textbook for pages that explain evidence in arguments*
