With Pleasure says the Neg Negative Responses Says the Aff With Pleasure says the Neg The AFF The NeG

They just read an affirmative case….

Advantages THAAD- US/China relations improve bc we remove THAAD No action happens on NK but- we get on the same page No action causes NK collapse. NK Missile Proliferation Nuclear proliferation Reunification

Aff Advantages or Impacts Impacts- final consequence in a chain of causation.  Impacts tend to conclude in catastrophes or other impressive Harms. -Nuke War -Economic crash leads to war -US/China War -Loss of Democracy=WAR -Proliferation -Inability to access space -NK Stability -Human Rights --Anthropomorphism (anthro):  The notion that human values ought to be, or are, central in importance. Advantages- BIT China Reforms Protectionism US or China Economy Human Rights China/US relations=codependence Space Coop Stops space arms race space militarization ASAT/Debris Go to Moon/Mars/colonize HE3 moon

Types of Negative Arguments Neg Case Arguments: attacking the stock issues to prove what the Aff claims is simply not true. Ex- ’08 global recession didn’t start WWIII Topicality- argument which pertains to whether or not the plan affirms the resolution.  To contest the topicality of the Aff the Neg interprets a word or words in the resolution and argues that the affirmative does not meet that definition, that the interpretation is preferable, and that non-topicality should be a voting issue. Disadvantages- Turns-

Turn-  turn is an argument that proves an argument the other side has made is in fact support for one's own side. This is as opposed to a take-out which merely argues that the argument the other team has made is wrong. It is offense! -Ex: Prolif is a good thing!

AT Climate Change: China Fossil fuel inevitable- 73 China says no to renewable- 74 Cuts inadequate- 78 Energy poverty economy turn- 81 Growth strategy better- 82 India and other countries alt cause 83, 84 R & D fails- 86 Renewables fail- 41,42,43

AT Climate Change- SQ We are doing enough now. China action- grid update- 49 Currently- China uses 4Xs as much energy to produce a product than the US. Upgrading their electrical distribution system. China renewables- 50, 51 Coal declining- 52,53
