Marchants Hill

Introduction to PGL More than just a school trip We’ll inspire, motivate and challenge your pupils to raise aspirations, build their confidence and support their achievement. Each day brings a new adventure and the chance to try something new with the encouragement of their friends.  Bring them back more inspired and eager to learn - even walking a little taller! Bringing out the best in young people is what we do best and with PGL, you can be sure you’ll get the very best support for a great school trip. With us, everything is included – the activities, equipment, accommodation and food. Your dedicated ‘Groupie’ will be on hand to support you and your group and they’ll run lively entertainment sessions in the evenings so you can relax after a busy day. Marchants Hill adventure centre is conveniently placed for primary schools from London and the surrounding area. It’s close to London but once you’re here, it’s like being in the countryside.

Outward Travel Arrangements Monday 11th March 2019 Children need to be dropped off promptly at school at 1:00. Children can come in, in the morning if alternative arrangements can not be made. Please ensure children bring any medicine with them and give it to the teacher in a sealed, named bag. Once children have arrived we will remind children of their groups and rooms and answer any last minute questions. They will then have a short lesson before the coach arrives at 2:30 to take us to PGL. Please note: children will need to have had lunch before arriving at school. (If your child usually gets lunch provided by the school, they can be given a lunch bag when the arrive.)

Departure Arrangements Returning - on the Friday, the children will be picked up by the coach at 2:00 and we hope to return to school by 2:45. This will depend on traffic, we will do updates via the schools Facebook page and we will contact the office if there are any changes.

Luggage Pack all items into one small/medium suitcase or holdall that your child can carry. Mark all luggage with your child’s name and school. Pack several plastic bags for dirty or wet clothes and shoes. Include a list of items - optional

Extra information: • Gift Shop- We recommend no more than £10 for the week. Children will be responsible for their money. This money can be used for gifts and some sweets. Your child may also wish to bring a disposable camera with them. This will be their responsibility, but should still be labelled. Behaviour expectations- We want it to be a fun, enjoyable experience for everyone and this can only be done in a safe environment. Children may miss an activity if behaviour gets too much and in extreme cases sent home. (This includes being safe in school leading up to the trip.) Emergencies- contact the school and they have our contact numbers as well as the centres. Medical needs- you will receive a letter to give consent for us administering paracetamol and ibuprofen. If there are any additional medical needs please label them and put them into a clear freezer bag and give them to your child’s teacher on the day. Children are not to bring: Electrical equipment (such as a tablet, phone or Nintendo DS) If we find an electronic device on your child, it will be confiscated and returned at the end of the week. Hair gel/spray Extra snacks
