Is it time to Re-define; Re-think, Re-Educate and Re-position? The world of work is changing – are you ahead of the curve or wandering, wondering and waiting – perhaps it is time to jump off the cliff? 3.4 million disabled people are now in work; 1 in 3 working age people in the UK have a long term health condition which puts their participation in work at risk £115m of funding to develop new models of support Need timely access to integrated health and employment support from service suppliers reinforcing work as a health outcome Vocational Rehabilitation requires your attention and understanding Is there, currently any demonstrable proof of innovative and evidenced based support? Adjacent market ownership/sponsorship of employee population health assessments, rehabilitation and return to work services Are you “Disability Confident”? - Disability confident business leaders group – remember you are all employers

DWP/DH want engagement with you To explore why larger employers do not make more use of group income protection (GIP) insurance To understand what would encourage large employers to make more use of GIP products To develop GIP products that are affordable and tailored to meet the needs of smaller employers and micro businesses To understand what the barriers and opportunities are for employers of different sizes adopting insurance products for their staff To raise awareness of GIP products and make access easier To find out what role the insurance industry should play in supporting the recruitment and retention of disabled people and people with health conditions
