Simply, hue is what colour a colour is.
Saturation The purity of a color. High saturation colors look rich and full. Low saturation colors look dull and grayish.
Value (or Lightness/Brightness) Value is the lightness or darkness of a color.
Additive colour On a computer or TV screen, colours are created by combining red, green and blue values.
Complementary colours Colours directly across from each other on the color wheel.
Triads Colours in an equilateral triangle pattern on the colour wheel.
Tetrads Colours in a square pattern on the colour wheel.
