Council of Trent - 1545-1563 meeting of Catholic leaders to discuss Church reforms and clarify teachings
Council of Trent no more indulgences (stop abuses) teachings stay the same Eg: faith AND good works to get to Heaven
Ignatius of Loyola starts group called the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) worked to spread Catholic ideas throughout the world (missionary)
Was it Successful? who in here is Protestant again? obviously, it was not 100% successful, but it did help the Catholic Church
