Objective: In our study of geography, SWBAT acquire strategies for reading and interpreting informational text (maps) to gather information and make comparisons by utilizing the theme of location to answer geographical questions. (NCSCOS 6G)

WB: Why might lines of latitude and longitude be measured in terms of "degrees", and not something else? (miles, kilometers, etc.). Explain why you think it is done this way.

Homework: 1. How have innovations changed the way we find absolute and relative locations? Provide an example (paragraph in notebook). 2. Study guide questions 2, 5, 7, & 9-11.
