AGENDA Budget Issues Completing Grant Applications & Budgets Process 10% Hold-Back Completing Grant Applications & Budgets Process Core Indicators CTE-Extended Day Funding Program & OCR Reviews Save These Dates

10% Hold-Back What does this mean? GA Dept of Ed required each Dept to reduce their funding by 10% CTAE has no indication if these funds will be restored at a later date

FY10 Grant Application & Budget The Accountability unit is currently reviewing grant applications by system If grants are rejected, refer to the Audit Trail for directions on making corrections Refer to the revised Budget Guidance (06/25/09) to assist you in budgeting your funds All FY10 grant applications & budgets must be completed and signed-off by September 30, 2009. Systems that do not comply will lose their funding.

PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT GRANT Can systems use the 100 & 200 object code categories when budgeting their funds? Generally no (there may be some exceptions to this rule, but prior state approval is required) Why should these codes not be used? Perkins IV funds are for Program Improvement and not for paying salaries

CORE INDICATORS What impact do Core Indicators have on funding? Negotiated Levels of Performance for FY10 & FY11 Current Performance Level Systems must meet at least 90% of their “System (agreed on) Adjusted Level of Performance.” Reading your Core Indicators chart When do you need to maintain or increase your Level of Performance

EXPLANATION OF CORE INDICATORS

CTAE Extended Day Funding Based on recent inquiries about the FY10 Extended Day funding, we have designed three different scenarios for funding this grant in FY11 Systems will be asked to indicate their funding scenario preference on a future survey
