Bridges …. ? or

The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors Not all home inspector associations are the same. ….

Building bridges…. The worlds largest home inspector association. 10,000 members strong!

Building bridges…. Although there is evidence of home inspections as far back as the mid-1940s, the first home inspector association wasnt founded until thirty years later. In 1976, in California, the first state association was founded, and the first national association was founded with its headquarters in Ohio. The mere fact that two associations were founded at the same time was a precursor to the fragmentation of the home inspection industry. Since 1976, state and national home inspector associations have come and gone, with state associations in almost every state, and seven national associations. Most of them offer few benefits to their members and few services to the public, and none of them have had the impact on the industry and the public like that of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI). Home Inspectors Click or hit Page Down to continue.

Building bridges…. Home Inspectors NACHI was founded in 1990 and seemed to be just another trade association until August At that time, NACHI created what has become one of the worlds most active Internet sites, registering over 16 million hits each month. Knowledge is power, and NACHI succeeded in bringing real estate and home inspection knowledge to home inspectors, Realtors, and the public. With almost 10,000 members, NACHI is now the worlds largest home inspector association, with three times as many members as the second largest. NACHI is also one of the worlds largest trade associations in any industry. Click or hit Page Down to continue.

Building bridges…. Home Inspectors NACHI has created the home inspection industrys largest and most active Internet Message Board. While NACHI members are the best home inspectors in the industry, even they dont know everything. However, when they come across something that puzzles them, they can go to the Message Board, post a question or picture, and have dozens of answers within hours, sometimes within minutes. NACHI is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all major holidays and sporting events, so Clients of NACHI members never have to wait for answers about the oldest or newest technology or construction methods. Most of the NACHI Message Board is also open to the public, so anyone can register and post a question and picture, and get answers from the most knowledgeable people in the home inspection industry. Simply go to and click on Message Board. Click or hit Page Down to continue.

Building bridges…. Home Inspectors NACHI membership is a privilege! Prospective members must demonstrate knowledge about real estate, construction practices, and home inspections, as well as knowledge about NACHIs Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. NACHI also requires its members to complete 24 hours of continuing education each year. While many trade associations leave it up to their members to educate themselves, NACHI is leading the way in building bridges to help its members become better educated, sometimes even before they do their first inspection! NACHI has the best online education system in the industry, with roofing, electrical, and structural courses, and many more in development. NACHI is leading the way in fully integrating the Internet into helping its members, Realtors, governments, and the public. Click or hit Page Down to continue.

Building bridges…. Home Inspectors Members are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the home inspection and real estate industries, and NACHI facilitates that participation by being the worlds largest provider and host of inspection-related events. Courses, chapter meetings, conventions, seminars.... NACHI provides it all to its members to ensure that you get the best home inspectors in the business. Although NACHI members dont have x-ray vision like Superman, sometimes youll think they do. Click or hit Page Down to continue.

Building bridges…. Home Inspectors Realtors and real estate attorneys are an integral part of building bridges between home inspectors and the public. To the extent allowed by law, and as determined by contractual agreements between home inspectors and their Clients, NACHI members are building bridges with their willingness to help not only their home inspection Clients, but real estate agents as well. The public is better served when everyone works together. NACHI is leading the way! Many NACHI members specialize in working specifically with new real estate agents, helping not only to educate them as to what a good, thorough home inspection means to everyone involved, but also helping them understand the complete home inspection process and their roles in it as real estate agents. Building bridges…. Home Inspectors NACHI and its members spend a vast amount of time, money, and energy building bridges with state and federal government entities, state trade associations, and other national trade associations to better serve and educate the public about good, thorough home inspections. With its large, active membership, as well as its useful and dominant web site, NACHI is leading the way in building bridges between home inspectors, the public, and governments.
