See The Change USA (STC) and Colorado Geographic Alliance (COGA)* The mission of STC is to implement Physics as a separate discipline in each middle school of the United States. The mission of COGA is related to strengthening the role of Geography / Earth Science in the school curriculum. Possible collaboration may include: A European /Asian model of curriculum implementation. As an example, for the 6th grade of the middle school: M. - Physics T. - Geography (Earth Science) W. - Physics Th. - Geography (Earth Science) F. - Physics 2. A joint coherent message to the Colorado Department of Education 3. A joint message to the State legislators 4. A joint message to the schools/principals/superintendents * This slide summarizes a brief conversation between Rebecca Theobald (COGA) and Anatoliy Glushchenko (STC) on April 1, 2013 and intended to be presented to both COGA and STC teams for further discussions and contributions.

Our Solution: The Road Not Taken Physics and Computer Programming as Separate Subjects: Physics is the most fundamental science discipline. Computer Programming is a discipline that facilitates problem solving. Early Age Approach: What other countries teach us Physics Computer Programming Chemistry 6th grade + 7th grade 8th grade Introducing these subjects in high-school is just too late!

Executive Summary Immediate Vision: Physics as a separate discipline in every middle school across the Nation starting in 6th, 7th & 8th grade. Computer Programming added in 7th & 8th grade, every school across the Nation. Chemistry added in 8th grade, every school across the Nation. Future Vision: Online teacher training platform (Train the Trainer) - 2013 Textbooks / Workbooks – 2013 Centers of Excellence Teacher Training Development Centers

Executive Summary Why Physics?: Physics is the most fundamental science discipline. It is the Science that underlies to all other sciences. Understanding key areas of physics (mechanics, material structure, electricity & magnetism, optics, nuclear & atomic physics and modern physics) provides the deepest understanding of how the world works. Develops a foundation of strong analytical and research skills. Develops critical thinking. Can translate into any profession besides engineers. Executive Summary

One Student Today, One Nation Tomorrow! Summary Our team at See The Change USA recognizes there aren’t enough scientists and engineers to sustain demands of industries and the demand of innovation that our country needs. We are committed to raise the United States S&E talent by starting from middle school and rapidly improving the students level of advancement in science and mathematics to out-perform global competition. We’ll also create the strongest pipeline for American S&E qualified professionals. One Student Today, One Nation Tomorrow!
