Introduction In an increasingly digitized world, organizations have identified a need to: collaborate in sharing data within (or across) their organization and with other external organizations; manage rising expectations for privacy and confidentiality; address concerns related to security, intellectual property and selection of standards when sharing data.

Introduction Organizations are now faced with: managing this spectrum of issues and concerns AND Ensuring the reliability and validity of data that informs shared decision making.

Our Focus Today Restrict our focus to the following types of data: Educational data: application rates, specialty choice, eligibility for USMLE, training requirements, assessment tools. Performance data: MCAT scores, formative and summative assessments measures, clinical outcomes data. Systems or Professional Practice data: scope of practice or practice mix, engagement in CPD activities; quality improvement and safety initiatives
