What purpose could a newspaper article have? Consider primary and secondary purposes.

Consider the type of newspaper Tabloid newspaper Broadsheet

What differences might you expect to find between them? Lets look at how the topic of child refugees is presented.

What is the purpose of this story from the Daily Mail?

This is the article beside it. What is the story? Was it printed beside the other story intentionally?

Now look at the story in The Observer Now look at the story in The Observer. Are there any differences in purpose?
