Mrs. Jensen Jacquet Center Hill High School Fall 2018 Welcome to English 11 Mrs. Jensen Jacquet Center Hill High School Fall 2018

Class expectations The student will (TSW) be respectful to the teacher, his/her classmates, and most importantly, himself or herself. TSW enter the classroom prepared and ready to learn each day. This includes, but is not limited to, having a writing utensil, appropriate textbooks or materials, and notebook paper. TSW sit in assigned seat. Any student not in assigned seat by the tardy bell will be counted tardy. TSW turn in homework assignments to the designated tray before the tardy bell. Homework not turned in by the tardy bell will be considered late (-10 points per day).

Class expectations TSW raise hand if he or she has a question or would like to contribute to the class discussion. TSW refrain from using cell phone or other electronic device unless explicitly given permission from the teacher to do so in conjunction with classroom tasks. If a student is absent, he or she must retrieve makeup work from the designated tray. He or she may ask the teacher what he or she missed privately, so as not to disrupt the class. TSW resist grooming during class, including but not limited to brushing hair, applying makeup, and spraying perfume/cologne. TSW NOT eat or chew gum in class; drinks are okay as long as they are closed with lid. (This is subject to change following first spill.)
