The Pomo Tribe by Sarah and Hi’ilawe

Location The weather was mild which means it is warm in the summer and cool in the winter. The Pomo lived in the northwest part of California.

Shelter The home of the Pomo tribe was shaped like a circular shaped or a oval shape. They used brush, grass, poles & rope.

Culture The Pomo tribe built a boat to travel farther into the water. They also built a basket made only from plants that lived around them. They even built their houses from the plants.

FOOD The Pomo tripe hunted sea animals on a boat. They hunted fish, shellfish, and even sealions. They also hunted some animals in the wild like deer, elk, & smaller animals from the forests. Pomo Tribe
