Curriculum coverage English ‘The Firework-Maker’s Daughter’ and ‘The BFG’. Narrative, recount, character description and instructions. Maths number and place value. Competence in this area will support the children in applying knowledge to other areas of maths, therefore there is a place value emphasis this term.

Specialist lessons MEND session- Tuesday (children bring in P.E kit and change) Whole class music tuition- Tuesday P.E- Thursday. This includes swimming lesson and a separate P.E lesson in school. Spanish - Thursday
Whole Class music tuition Tri-borough music hub Your child will be learning either the clarinet or the flute. The instruments can be taken home for practice, once the terms and conditions have been read, understood and an agreement has been signed and returned to school. More to follow.
Homework ALL homework will now be set and handed out on a FRIDAY. Mathletics- 5 tasks per week English – one page from the comprehension book and one page from the grammar, punctuation and spelling book. This will be denoted by an asterisk next to the page number and the day’s date to avoid confusion. spelling – 10 spellings per week, from the list given out last week. times tables – ongoing, everyday reading – at least 20 minutes everyday
