Characteristics of Kinesthetic Learners learn best by experience and manipulating materials un-assemble & reassemble objects in the process of learning use a lot of gestures while talking learn by touching & feeling objects gesture when talking physically active in the class may be good at sports & games enjoy learning through activities that involve movement take interest in dramatics.
Hypothesis Students learn better through activities.
Material required: political map of India, Thermocole sheet, pictures of monuments, dance forms of states in India
Procedure: Step 1: Students were asked to mark on the political map of India- States & Capitals Different Dance Forms Monuments of India Step 2: The maps were evaluated and results were noted. Step 3: Students were asked to match and stick names of states & their capital, monuments and different dance forms on the map. Step 4: Another test was given and scored. Step 5: Results of pre & post tests were analysed.
Data Analysis Before the activity 5/39 secured full marks. After the activity 30/39 students secured full marks.
Students’ Feedback We got a better understanding of the topic. It was a very creative approach. We can recall the topic better. We enjoyed collaborative learning. We felt involved in the learning process. It was interesting.
Result Students performed better when they learnt through activity and in groups. This proves the hypothesis that ‘Students learn better through activities.
