Project Four Assignment and Unit Four Schedule The Project Four assignment and schedule is posted on our course website in the unit four folder.

Rubric for Project Four The MAPS/CRAP/Document Design Rubric for Project Four is posted on our course website.

CRAP Principles Keep in mind the following tips related to visual design regarding contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity as you design and create your digital project. CONTRAST (Big & Little, White on Black) REPETITION (Re- Re- Re-Re- Re- Re-Re- Re- Re-petition) Repeat elements throughout your design such as colors, fonts, layouts, spatial relationships, etc. ALIGNMENT  - The options are flush left, flush right, centered, or justified. The rule is “pick ONE and stick with it.” PROXIMITY - Keep related items close together. Avoid unrelated groupings! Less is More!

Applying CRAP Principles VW “Bubble Boy” Commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox655_y_S8Y The themes are HUGE is this piece. It also demonstrates how each decision the author makes is critical to the rhetorical situation. Additionally, it is one of the best examples of applying CRAP principles and movie elements to design and production. Brokeback to the Future – Movie Trailer – Parody from Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uwuLxrv8jY Demonstrates the importance of choice of materials in relation to copyright and fair use. Sarah McLachlan - World On Fire – Music Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDmPcSWE0WU Demonstrates simplicity in design, however, a strong message and purpose.
