Do you want to improve your English Do you want to improve your English? If you want to be excellent in English study, here are some important points for you to remember. 1. English language doesn’t just have different sounds. They are different in many ways. It is important to master the rules for word order in the study of English, too. If the speakers put words in a wrong order, the listener can’t understand the speaker’s sentence easily. When you are learning English, you must do your best to get the sprit of the language and use it as the English speaker does. 2. If you want to be a better reader, remember the following points. First, skim the passage and guess the main idea of it. Second, read the questions carefully and try to remember them, and then scan the passage with questions. For some difficult questions, you should not only understand the literal meaning, but also guess the deep meaning. At last, you should read the whole passage again to check your answers. 3. If you meet new words during your study, how can you deal with the problem? It’s too easy. Guess the meaning of the word according to the context first. If there is someone else, ask him or her for help. If the word doesn’t prevent you from working out the answers, overlook it. If the word matters with your answer, use the dictionary to look it up. The dictionary can also help you a lot in teaching yourself English.
